Katrina (Kat) Glaze is a classically trained fiddler, soloist, and improvisational performer transplanted to Dallas, Texas from her hometown of Long Beach, California. With her effervescent fiddling style, improv skills, and nearly 30 years of experience, Kat has charged onto the Dallas music scene playing everything from traditional Irish music, bluegrass, and Celtic rock to musical theater and more. Kat currently holds two prestigious residencies with the Cathedral of Hope Orchestra and the Turtle Creek Chorale as their concertmaster and soloist for the last seven years. Through her outreach and performances during the pandemic, Kat has amassed a following of over 60K+ across her social media platforms and with their support, will be releasing her debut album in September of 2021. As a young fiddler in Los Angeles, Kat had the distinct honor of accompanying Mark O’Connor as he performed Orange Blossom Special in partnership with the Young Musicians Foundation and is delighted to be performing his Strings & Threads Suite with the Allen Philharmonic this fall.
